SPF2550 Packing system

The SHAPE 2550 Sack Filler is a highly accurate Sack filling and weighing system designed for a multiplicity of applications. The filling head assembly allows for a range of filling heads to be attached to cope with all bag sizes and is mounted directly directly below the product weigh hopper, which is fully enclosed.

All filling heads provide dust-proof sealing around the bag neck. The discharge nozzle has the facility for connection to a dust extraction system.

The machine provides for various options for the handling and removal of different types of containers.

For standard open-mouth sacks, a takeaway conveyor can be fitted, so that when the bag has finished its filling cycle, the conveyor will lift up to support the underside of the bag. The bag head will deflate, the conveyor will then lower down to the desired level and move the bag away ready for the next bag to be placed on the machine. The lift height is adjustable to suit various bag lengths.

Where cardboard cartons or pails are to be filled, the machine can be fitted with a lower roller support which incorporates a second load cell which combines with the filling outlet load cell to provide the correct weight when the load is shared between the two. This allows for example a carton to be filled with the plastic liner also being clamped to the filling outlet.

This lower roller support is also height adjustable so it can be lowered out of the way to allow for standard open-top sacks to be filled, whilst still incorporating the lifting and lowering sequence as used with the standard conveyor.

The machine can handle a wide range of powders with characteristics from sticky right through to extremely fluid materials. Granular materials can also be handled and the auger clearances designed to suit quite large particle sizes if required.
